I came up with my 55 favorite album from 1996 to 2011 for Pitchfork’s The People’s List. Definitely hard to narrow it down and I’m sure I forgot some crucial albums but it was sort of fun to do.
FREEZE-TAG - ESKIMO
Offering up a healthy dose of chilled vibes and slick beats is Cleveland, Ohio native Freeze-Tag (a.k.a. Marcus Alan Ward) with the track “Eskimo”. We’ve been jamming to this for a while now and just remembered to spread the love in case anyone missed it. This track is another taste of how the talented producer is able to masterfully whip up light electronic sounds with sensual r&b flavors, a type of genre he dubs as “prisma-chromatic”.
